What is Designer Acres?
Designer Acres’ farm design and farm layout helps a rural business to be Clean, Efficient and Profitable and therefore easier to manage. It also helps to maximise our opportunities.
I have noticed that many people on the land are doing it tough.
The response to Covid, the trade war between the East and the West along with the resultant financial mischief and its effect on the economy seem to have teamed up to make life harder.
I bargained with Life for a penny,
And Life would pay no more,
However I begged at evening,
When I counted my scanty store.
For Life is a just employer,
He gives you what you ask,
But once you have set the wages,
Why, you must bear the task.
I worked for a menial’s hire,
Only to learn, dismayed,
That any wage I had asked of Life,
Life would have willingly paid.

Our Mission
We aim to provide inspiration, information and training to assist people to make a go of it on the land. We provide a knowledge base and training to assist those recently come to the land or those whose market has turned down to succeed and make their choice the right one. We help people on the land make the jump from being Price Takers to Price Makers, to change from being slaves to what life throws at us, to masters of our destiny.Our Vision
To see a rural sector in good health both economically and environmentally. This can be achieved with a change of paradigm.

Our Focus
Our main focus is on the health of the farm ecosystem.
Healthier fields = healthier crops = better yields = a better life.
We have discovered a system of designing and running a property which is attracts less expense and work, but can increase the yield and the value of the product.
Smart design and proper stewardship can do this for you.
Nothing new here – we have gathered a combination of techniques from different cultures in the past mixed with some of the new along with a deeper understanding of how they work from modern research.
Applied common sense mixed with a new way of looking at things can create wonders.
